Pizza
I love pizza! This is my family’s all-time favorite chicken pizza. It is a thin-crust base topped with homemade tomato sauce, cheese, chicken, and various toppings.
Ingredients
Pizza Dough
- 250 g all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp instant yeast
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 1 tbsp oil
- 4 oz warm water
Pizza sauce
- 3 tomatoes
- 1 small onion
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic chopped
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp chilli flakes
- 2 tbsp tomato sauce
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp basil
Tandoori Chicken
- 200g boneless chicken breast cubed
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1 tbsp chilli powder
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tbsp tandoori masala
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp ginger and garlic paste
- 1 tbsp curd
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
Pizza toppings
- 200 g mozzarella cheese (grated) use as needed
- vegetable (onion, capsicum, olives, corn kernels) sliced
- shredded tandoori chicken
- 1/2 tsp Italian herbs
- 1/2 tsp chilli flakes
- olive oil for brushing
Instructions
Pizza Dough
- Mix all the dry ingredients and the oil, then slowly start adding the warm water and form a soft dough.
- Dab a touch of oil all over the dough, and let it rise to double its size, for about an hour or more.
Pizza Sauce
- Blend the tomatoes, and onion until smooth.
- Heat oil in a pan and sauté chopped garlic until fragrant. Add the blended mixture along with the other ingredients and let it simmer until it thickens. Use as required.
Tandoori Chicken
- To prepare the chicken, simply combine all the ingredients and let it marinate for about 30 minutes.
- Heat oil in a pan, add the marinated chicken pieces and fry them. After cooling, shred the chicken as desired.
Pizza Preparation
- Once the dough is risen, give it a quick knead and then roll it out to 1/4 inch thickness and about 10 inches in diameter and place it on your greased pizza pan.
- Evenly spread half of the pizza sauce, and add chicken, toppings, and cheese. Finally, sprinkle with Italian herbs and chilli flakes to taste.
- Once done, bake the pizza in a preheated oven at 200C for 10-12 minutes, until the cheese melts and the crust becomes crisp. Adjust the baking time to your oven.
