I love pizza! This is my family’s all-time favorite chicken pizza. It is a thin-crust base topped with homemade tomato sauce, cheese, chicken, and various toppings.

Ingredients
  

Pizza Dough

  • 250 g all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp instant yeast
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 4 oz warm water

Pizza sauce

  • 3 tomatoes
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic chopped
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp chilli flakes
  • 2 tbsp tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp basil

Tandoori Chicken

  • 200g boneless chicken breast cubed
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp tandoori masala
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ginger and garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp curd
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste

Pizza toppings

  • 200 g mozzarella cheese (grated) use as needed
  • vegetable (onion, capsicum, olives, corn kernels) sliced
  • shredded tandoori chicken
  • 1/2 tsp Italian herbs
  • 1/2 tsp chilli flakes
  • olive oil for brushing

Instructions
 

Pizza Dough

  • Mix all the dry ingredients and the oil, then slowly start adding the warm water and form a soft dough.
  • Dab a touch of oil all over the dough, and let it rise to double its size, for about an hour or more.

Pizza Sauce

  • Blend the tomatoes, and onion until smooth.
  • Heat oil in a pan and sauté chopped garlic until fragrant. Add the blended mixture along with the other ingredients and let it simmer until it thickens. Use as required.

Tandoori Chicken

  • To prepare the chicken, simply combine all the ingredients and let it marinate for about 30 minutes.
  • Heat oil in a pan, add the marinated chicken pieces and fry them. After cooling, shred the chicken as desired.

Pizza Preparation

  • Once the dough is risen, give it a quick knead and then roll it out to 1/4 inch thickness and about 10 inches in diameter and place it on your greased pizza pan.
  • Evenly spread half of the pizza sauce, and add chicken, toppings, and cheese. Finally, sprinkle with Italian herbs and chilli flakes to taste.
  • Once done, bake the pizza in a preheated oven at 200C for 10-12 minutes, until the cheese melts and the crust becomes crisp.
    Adjust the baking time to your oven.
